BRYLA MACE: Daughter of Earth
A SF novel for 12-16. There comes a point in time when all scientific theories and all spiritual and religious concepts must merge into the one-and-only truth. Bryla Mace and Zygo (who is Bryla's evil synthetic counterpart) are the corporeal personifications of the merging of the two opposing philosophies. Domination of the one truth, is the focus of a long and bitter biblical-type struggle between, Bryla, who stands for religion and, Zygo, who stands for science. Bryla and Zygo are convinced within themselves that only one power, religion or science, can be the dominant figure in control of the one truth. The merging of science and religion, however, is only completed when the two opposing representations are themselves merged into one.
